Color Detection in image signals

The Biobserve MediaRecorder software is now capable to detect color changes in any kind of image signal, either in a video signal or in a computer screen image. Even TCP/IP relayed video and monitor signal streams can be processed.

Applications
Color detection in monitor signals for example can be a powerful tool to detect changes in computer screen images of industrial plant control centers. These screens show the states of machines, level indicators or valve conditions. State changes of devices are often indicated with color changes.
With the new color detection feature it is now possible to detect these changes automatically in any kind of image signal. This capability can free up the personal in the control center and increases the reliability of critical incident detection.

In Training & Simulation scenarios, this feature can be used to automatically tag the time in the training when a certain system state on a screen occurs. For example to measure automatically how long a participant needs to configure an interface.

Customizable alarm function
To configure color detection, you can select regions in the image and define the color that shall trigger the alarm. For each region you can also define a name to identify the specific event.
Alarms can be sent as a customizable network message or by e-mail. Other notification possibilities can be integrated upon request.
The number of definable regions per image signal is not limited.

Analysis in the background
Even not shown virtual screen signals (KVM) can be analyzed in the background and brought to attention to the person in charge only when something predefined happens in the image.

Like for all other features of our MediaRecorder software, an API is available for system integrators to integrate the new color detection feature seamlessly into your own solution to provide clients unique features with a real added value.
